Sonny Kang Senior pastor Pastor Sonny grew up in Winnipeg, a place known as "Friendly Manitoba" He has served in a pastoral ministry for over 17 years and obtained a M.Div. from Acts Seminary of Trinity Western University. He previously enjoyed being a youth and young adult pastor and loves serving God by loving and nurturing His children. Sonny is married to Julie and together they have been blessed with 4 children: Shayna, Jemiah, Josiah and Isaiah. Sonny delights in breaking bread together with family and friends and loves to play sports. |
Charlotte Lindsay Communications director Charlotte, along with her family, has called the Grove Church home since 2019. Charlotte grew up in the UK and came to Canada as a teenager. She is married to Brook and has a daughter, Abigail. Charlotte studied Arts in college and majored in History. She enjoys singing, photography, digital design and keeping everyone organized! |

Jim Mace Deacon Jim and his wife Celeste have been active members at the Grove Church since 1990. He is a secondary school teacher and enjoys being with family and friends and playing outdoor sports. 
Celeste Mace board member Celeste and Jim have been part of the Grove family since 1990 when their third son was a baby. They are gramma and grandpa to 4 beautiful girls in Ontario and 1 wonderful little boy here in BC. Celeste is on staff at the Langley Food Bank. Celeste loves to sing, read, play games and plan events. She absolutely loves Christmas and can sometimes be seen watching old Christmas movies and singing carols in the summer! |
Andrew Buikema deacon Andrew, along with his wife and kids have been attending The Grove since 2022. He grew up attending Bethany Baptist church. Andrew is married to Hannah and have a son, James and daughter, Cora. He enjoys playing soccer, board games, camping and hiking. He is a Veteran and works as a landscaper. 
Stephanie Ho Board member Stephanie was born and raised in Quebec (yes, she speaks French!) and moved to BC in 2010. She is married to Alan and they have two daughters. Stephanie loves to write, bake, scrapbook and browse through thrift stores in search of good finds. An avid bookworm, the best way to strike up a lively conversation with her is to ask her what she's currently reading. |
David Nielsen treasurer David and Paulette have been married for 54 years. They have 2 married daughters and 5 grandchildren. David is retired from a career as a BC and Canada Land Surveyor with the federal government. David enjoys playing golf and researching family history (genealogy). He has served on numerous non-profit and Christian Charity boards usually in the role of Treasurer. David enjoys volunteering and assisting other churches with financial and administrative support.
