Dr. Stefano Piva pastor Pastor Stef loves being a pastor and has been one for over 25 years. Stef grew up just outside of Edmonton and is a big fan of the Oilers. He is married and has three children. Stef received his Doctorate of Ministry in the area of preaching and has taught in seminaries in Cameroon, Brazil, and Canada. Stef enjoys teaching, reading and adventurously working with others to serve Christ. Pastor Stef also enjoys painting, being a soccer referee and listening to old school 1980s Christian metal. |
Dan and Rose Sonsalla worship directorS Dan and Rose Sonsalla have been married for 34 years and have 2 daughters and a son-in-law. Music has been their passion for as long as they can remember, and they actually met each other through music way back in 1987. Music has always been a joy in their lives and their current projects include writing and publishing their original songs, playing in a Classic Rock cover band as well as an acoustic duo where they perform a variety of songs. They have played on worship teams at various churches before coming to The Grove earlier this year. They both share the belief that music is part of our DNA and is a gift that must be shared. Their hope is to be able to help bring people closer to God through the joy of music in worship. |
Charlotte Lindsay Communications director Charlotte, along with her family, has called the Grove Church home since 2019. Charlotte grew up in the UK and came to Canada as a teenager. She is married to Brook and has a daughter, Abigail. Charlotte studied Arts in college and majored in History. She enjoys singing, photography, digital design and keeping everyone organized! |
BOARD
Jim Mace Deacon Jim and his wife Celeste have been active members at the Grove Church since 1990. He is a secondary school teacher and enjoys being with family and friends and playing outdoor sports. 
Celeste Mace board member Celeste and Jim have been part of the Grove family since 1990 when their third son was a baby. They are gramma and grandpa to 4 beautiful girls in Ontario and 1 wonderful little boy here in BC. Celeste is on staff at the Langley Food Bank. Celeste loves to sing, read, play games and plan events. She absolutely loves Christmas and can sometimes be seen watching old Christmas movies and singing carols in the summer!

Andrew Buikema deacon Andrew, along with his wife and kids have been attending The Grove since 2022. He grew up attending Bethany Baptist church. Andrew is married to Hannah and have a son, James and daughter, Cora. He enjoys playing soccer, board games, camping and hiking. He is a Veteran and works as a landscaper. 
Cynthia Krahn board member Cynthia has been blessed to be a part of the Grove church since 2008 with her husband Andrew. She is a part time nurse and full-time mom to three girls. She loves children, dance games and all things furry and cute! Did anyone say puppies?

David Nielsen treasurer David and Paulette have been married for 54 years. They have 2 married daughters and 5 grandchildren. David is retired from a career as a BC and Canada Land Surveyor with the federal government. David enjoys playing golf and researching family history (genealogy). He has served on numerous non-profit and Christian Charity boards usually in the role of Treasurer. David enjoys volunteering and assisting other churches with financial and administrative support. 
Cathy Main board member Cathy and her husband, Lorne, have been members at the Grove for over 20 years. She is a retired deli clerk and enjoys reading and playing Scrabble and bridge in her spare time. |
